The high-rebound compression-molded EVA midsole absorbs shocks on descents. ESS support controls torsion, while an internal plate protects the forefoot from rough terrain. The 8 mm drop provides excellent performance when trail running in the mountains.
DOWNHILL PERFORMANCE
OVERSIZE HEEL
The very large heel provides excellent stability when walking or running downhill and on technical traverses.
Two rubber stability wings on both rear sections of the shoe ensure unmatched braking on technical descents, including scree, gravel, and loose rocks.

When muscles begin to tire after a long traverse or numerous descents over rocky terrain, it is essential to have a shoe capable of supporting the midfoot to prevent ankle injuries. Unlike our other shoes with C.A.S. technology, TECNICA MAGMA is designed with a pre-shaped, cushioned EVA insole that provides an immediate comfortable fit without requiring customization.
